Giving up Mocha, Joe

So I decided, yet again, that I'm giving up lattes.

This morning I broke up with my barista. I ordered my final Caramel Silk and drove off. I didn't look back - not even in my rear-view mirror.

I kinda didn't TELL him that we were breaking up. No sense in two souls being crushed, when one will suffice.

Sigh.

You're thinking I'll go back. I always have, haven't I. Jonesing for caffeine - sad, but true. But this is it, I swear. Really.

New Rules.

So, I thought up 2 more project rules.

+I must watch the movies alone, and refrain from reading any movie reviews if at all possible, so that I don't corrupt my review with the opinions of others. Heaven forbid.

+I'm going to track how much I spend. Nope, don't know why. Just because I can, I guess.

My New Year's Resolution

Hello all.

Today is December 3o, 2009. Which, as you can surmise, makes tomorrow the last day of the year. Hold me down, I may just go into orbit.

Let me say that I'm not really looking forward to 2010. Rather than bore you with the details which lead me to that prediction- and frankly, I don't feel like doing all that typing - I already know that 2010 is going to be, well, bad. (you'll just have to take my word for it).

In an attempt to avoid psychotherapy, yet still retain some sanity, I've decided that I need a completely random, obscure project for 2010. While surfing around the internet today, trying to find a cool photo from Iron Man 2 to use for my IM photo, it came to me.

Robert Downey.

A reformed bad boy who is just flat-out hot and has made some really insane movies. Perfect.

Hence "My Year With Robert Downey Jr."

Over the course of 2010, I will watch all the movies in which Robert has appeared, and blog my reviews.

Of course, a project this monumental must have rules, must it not?

+My list of movies comes from Wikipedia, and I will take their word for it as being a complete listing.

+If I've viewed a film prior to 2010, I have to watch it again and not rely on my memory. I did just see Sherlock Holmes last Saturday, but alas, I'll have to shell out another $7.50 for the sake of scientific research.

Those are pretty much the only rules I can think of. For the sake of practicality, I'm not going in any particular order.

See you all around the block.
